Happy First Day of Fall!

...I couldn't not post on the first day of fall!  I've put up most of my fall decor (including Halloween) now I just need pumpkins!  I'll be taking pictures soon.  So I had to have soup & corn muffins for dinner to kick off fall.

....and my dog was swimming in the creek @ mom's Sunday.

Relaxing Saturday...

Yesterday my sweet dog and I went to Alafia State Park, then to my moms.  We had a great day!  We went hiking, did some fishing, rode my horse, Junior swam in the creek.  Today I'm trying to plan and get some Halloween stuff out (of course this rain we're having is making it difficult).
 The start of our hike...

The moon was out, and it was lovely.

 Banana Spiders are everywhere!
Junior has to go in any body of water he sees, but because of the gators I don't let him go totally swimming like he'd like to...
 This is where we fished...

Wildflowers, we don't have many this far south in Florida but the ones we do have are pretty :)
This is at my mom's house; her Cane Corso, PeeWee
 All the dogs playing
Junior's favorite thing is to swim in the creek

The baby, Pumpkin, was swimming too!
The baby loves to play with Junior
How many spider's can you count?
 Wild berries...

We've had this pumpkin forever, mom said I could take it home to my house :)  I'm so excited to have it!
This vine grows down my mom's fence in front of her house, it's really beautiful.

This amazing pumpkin my mom gets at her farmers market, AMAZING...sweet, has the most amazing smell ever.  My new favorite squash.

I put up my cats...

I got these two cuties at a thrift store for $2.00.  I can't decide if I want them up all year or just Halloween time.  I would like to hang them on the wall, but every place I've tried them I don't like.  Guess I'll just keep trying!
Right now there just on a side table.

The moon is full and beautiful tonight!

My this week is flying by!  I haven't accomplished half the things I wanted to...
I love the season though!  How exciting fall is & pumpkins are everywhere!! It will be a busy next couple weeks as I drag my fall decorations out and try to get my Earth Boxes going. I also got tulip bulbs as my horses finally succeeded at killing my tulips.  My grandparents 60th wedding anniversary is in two weeks; I have to come up with a 50s outfit for the party and a 50s side dish (how much different could the food have been back then??)
I'm excited though, I have great plans for the weekend, hopefully will get some good pictures.
Here are some shots I took at work;

"Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower"

Sadly though, I don't live in place where we get much color change.  In fact, basically we have summer and winter (without pretty white powder).  Maybe I will change that one day!
I have started putting up my autumn stuff, I wish more people around here did the same (I'm beginning to really question where I live).
I need to find more blogs to follow!  I love seeing the landscape from other places!
This is the wreath I made two seasons ago that never sold; I've almost given up on selling wreaths.  I love to make them but no one buys them.  So I hung this in front of my little house today (I used the yellow baling twine to hang it).

This is another wreath that just didn't sell; it now has a home on my front door.  I love the colors!
I kept trying to get a picture with Junior in it, but he wouldn't sit still.

I picked up this plate and knife set at a craft sale two weeks ago.  I'm not crazy about the knife, but it works.  I adore the plate!  It's very unique, made out what feels like ceramic(?)
Right now it's here.  But this counter is getting over crowded, so it's not going to stay there (either is my orange juice set)
This sweet little egg fell out of my wreath when I took it out of the shed.  A lizard I'm sure.
This is my Poe wreath.  This is a fall or all year round kinda wreath.  Inspired by Edgar Allen.
My Halloween wreath is ready!  I have a few more, but I'm not putting them up until October sometime.  If I sell one that would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

And here's some more picture of the weekend past!

Until next time!
