"Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower"

Sadly though, I don't live in place where we get much color change.  In fact, basically we have summer and winter (without pretty white powder).  Maybe I will change that one day!

I have started putting up my autumn stuff, I wish more people around here did the same (I'm beginning to really question where I live).

I need to find more blogs to follow!  I love seeing the landscape from other places!

This is the wreath I made two seasons ago that never sold; I've almost given up on selling wreaths.  I love to make them but no one buys them.  So I hung this in front of my little house today (I used the yellow baling twine to hang it).

 This is another wreath that just didn't sell; it now has a home on my front door.  I love the colors!

I kept trying to get a picture with Junior in it, but he wouldn't sit still.

 I picked up this plate and knife set at a craft sale two weeks ago.  I'm not crazy about the knife, but it works.  I adore the plate!  It's very unique, made out what feels like ceramic(?)

 Right now it's here.  But this counter is getting over crowded, so it's not going to stay there (either is my orange juice set)

 This sweet little egg fell out of my wreath when I took it out of the shed.  A lizard I'm sure.

 This is my Poe wreath.  This is a fall or all year round kinda wreath.  Inspired by Edgar Allen.

My Halloween wreath is ready!  I have a few more, but I'm not putting them up until October sometime.  If I sell one that would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

This Weekend so far...

I couldn't decide what to do; sure there's was a lot I needed to do, but that's no fun!  Somehow I ended up with my nephews, so we went to Venice Beach [the dog part] for the first time.  I really enjoyed it!  We will definitely go again.  

I see a lot of people have started their fall decorating; guess that means it's time to take down the flag wreath and put up the fall one!  Yay!  I'll have to post pictures once I finish.  Now I don't think I'll start putting up Halloween decorations...but soon!

Fishing and a party tomorrow means I won't accomplish much around the house; thank goodness for having Monday off!

What a productive weekend!

I finally got to go garage-saleing, though they're weren't a lot of sales, I picked up some goodies!  (still too hot here for people to have yard sales).

I've been playing with Ebay a little bit, so I grabbed some items to list on there (so far the extra cash has been pretty good to me!)

We spent a much needed, relaxing day at my moms.  I got to ride (even though it was pretty hot). & I picked at the last of the Cattley Guavas on her tree.

This week I'm determined to crack down on getting over-due stuff done around the house!   I truly am the queen of procrastination.  

I picked up a couple yummy recipes at my moms I'm going to try also.  If they turn out, I'll post them here!

What a busy summer it has been!

It's so nice reading everyone's Summer posts!  I'm hoping to get through all the ones I missed this week.

My house (as temporary as it may be) is coming along quite nicely!

 This hutch belonged to my great-grandparents when they lived in NY, then it was my mom's, mom gave it to me.

 At last, Junior and I had a long weekend with my nephews, fun, but we are tired.

On another, rather sad note, I think my camera is on it's last legs.  Many photos I take it will not focus, almost like it's been dropped.  Maybe something happened to it in the move.  Oh well, I'll just keep shooting and hope for the best.

Blackberries are here

My favorite time of the year!  I just wish I could stop eating them and preserve some.  Blackberry is my favorite flavor of jam.  I only like it with the seeds though.  While I was picking them and my legs were getting cut up, my dog decided to chase a momma turkey, so I had to take a time out to save her, wasting valuable berry picking time. 

The bushes near me only have little guys, I think because they are mowed down regularly.  Back home we have some berry bushes that give us HUGE, California looking berries.  But don't let the size fool you, they are packed with sweet goodness.

I'm excited to announce

...I will be moving back home!  After all, there is no place like home.
Actually this will mean my blog will be more active & I'll have more excited pictures to post (after I get settled in of course).  Because let me tell you, there is nothing exciting in Gainesville (hence the lack of pictures).

Junior had a great 2nd birthday (sorry I didn't get any pictures up).  Everything has been so busy crazy!

I've really been enjoying reading everyone's awesome looking recipes and can't wait to try some in my new home!
