Memorial Day Weekend

...hope every one hung their flags!  I know I did- though storms kept threatening to rip it down.

 I kept trying to get a picture of the trumpet vine; but it was blowing in the wind, no luck

Relaxing Weekends and Lazy Weekdays

...I don't know if it's summer rolling in or just the tides, but my weeks have been slow and lazy!  (I'm not complaining).
A note on Summer~ I have been enjoying all the summer additions of my monthly magazine subscriptions, but I have to say that summer here is not this fairy tale of gardening, cook-outs and fun.  It's hot!  When I say hot, I mean, cook-outs can be miserable.  Not to mention, the bugs will tote you off!  While summer may be beautiful in other parts of the states, it's just too hot here to enjoy too much.  My dog can only be outside certain times of the day, and trying to keep up with weeds is tiresome!

This weekend

Junior & I went to Oscar Scherer State Park.  It wasn't bad, but Junior already cant stand the heat, which is sad because it's not even summer.  I don't want to be stuck indoors all summer!  When did he turn into such a ninny?  

I wasn't incredibly impressed with the park.  I would like to go kayaking there.  It says no dogs allowed @ the lake (Where you can swim), which sucks because it was hot & Junior wanted to swim.  Of course you had your big, loud redneck family at the lake WITH THEIR DOG.  I was tempted but am a follower of the rules :(

Here's some stuff I wanted to add to my blog & hadn't got around to it.

My mom has a creek on her property.  We find lots of things in this creek.  Not all too long ago, they didn't have garbage pick up way out where my mom lives, so they would dump or bury their garbage.  Some of the stuff we find in the creek is real old, some isn't.

Today!

Well I hate not keeping this updated, but sometimes life just gets in the way!  Everything has been a little bit on the edge, hanging off a cliff- like (or that's how I feel).
My dog's second surgery didn't go too smooth as he damaged his meniscus & now requires a 3rd surgery.  Oh wait!  He also possibly has a joint mouse (or OCD), that may require surgery.  My vet highly recommends putting him on a grain-free diet with added minerals and raw eggs.  I'm reaching out to my surgeon for second opinion.
Did I mention I'm poor?  I'm looking for another job (or rather, a whole new career) but meanwhile I'm poor & this dog really needs a rich owner!
